Update

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you all an update on Megan's knee. She is scheduled for surgery on August 20th. Her ACL is torn, however the MRI showed that her menisci and articular cartilage are fine. The surgery is an outpatient surgery that will take place at Sawtooth Surgery Center. The procedure is arthroscopicly aided. They will make three holes in her knee as well as a small incision. I'm sure that this will be a lot better than if they had to open up her whole knee. To fix the ACL they will remove the deficient ligament that is in their now and they'll replace it with a piece of her patellar ligament. This is a ligament that runs over the kneecap.
